  2. Anybody who knows me, knows that it doesn't take much to excite me. Not saying that I'm easy to please because I'm not but I try to make everything I do as fun as possible. Thinking about my future and what I have to do to be sucessful gets me really excited. I always think about when I'm older, living alone and how I'm going to keep my self happy. Its exciting to think that one day I'll be able to do everything for myself and not depend on my mom anymore. So basically thinking about how all my hardwork I'm doing now will benefit my future excites me.

  4. What gets me excited about life? You guys are in for a story. *sadistic laughter*

A number of things excite me such as seeing the world, meeting new people, seeing new things, trying new foods, experiencing and doing new things, doing things that I enjoy and make me laugh and smile and just going on adventures be they an interesting walk to school or walking among the ruins of Carthage (which I've done). I am in a constant state of motion be it physically or intellectually and doing things that engage me is great and revitalizes me.

Another aspect of life and the future that excites me is acquiring knowledge and wisdom and an understanding of people and human nature, the world around me, myself, and the Universe. I want to learn and understand as many things as I can and pass on my wisdom and knowledge; I want to leave my mark on the world and I think I have begun to do so with publishing my book of poems and short stories (definitely more on the way!).

That's another thing I'm looking forward to and feel a sense of great excitement towards—realizing my dreams. For as long as I can remember I've wanted to be an actress and write books and star in the movie adaptations of my work and win the Pulitzer Prize for my writing. I’d like the change the world in a meaningful way even if it’s a small change or only affects a small amount of people—I want to be remembered for times to come.

This brings me to the third thing that excites me about life—living! I want to pave my own way and pursue my own happiness and be independent and have fun doing everything! I never want a dull moment and I'll always be pursuing my growth mentally, physically, and spiritually. Of course if terrible things like death, loss, emotional hardship come up I'll take them on to the best of my ability and continue on my path—I'm most definitely not a blind optimist (anymore) as I've begun to practice rationality and be thoughtful, and as a result, I have matured substantially. I'll always be realistic as I am optimistic.

I want to pick up playing the guitar again. I want to paint. I want to write. I want to study things that interest me and learn so much. I want to conduct my own studies and experiment to test my personal theories about humans and the things that affect us. I want to be a martial artist—and I will. I'll do everything I want to in due time. Patience isn't a virtue for no reason, especially with my fiery gusto and vigor.

I could write another book right here and now about myself and my dreams and goals (just for Katie), but the bottom line is I'm excited to go forth on my way and live to the fullest and be successful before I die. Even if I die tomorrow I can say I've lived a great life and have done and seen so many things, grown as a person, and love what I do. There are, of course, things that I wish I'd never done or stopped myself from doing, but if I didn't do those things I wouldn't be the person I am today, and I really like that person and she's only going to get better with time--like wine!

    Ah, yes. Life.

    Exciting.

  5. There are several things that get me really excited about life. But what truly gets me in me in that enthusiastic mood about life is when I experience an event or come in contact with a person that reminds me life is all good. We all hear positive quotes and sayings that are ment to exemplify life or our current zeitgeist. They are ment to take us out of that melancholy and insecure mood that we sometimes become plagued with in. But sometimes just knowing those quotes are not enough. I may be trying to become an alien but I continue to fail at it. Knowing I have to keep trying isn't enough at times. Sometimes it is that moment when you are experiencing an event or someones presence that you are reminded "Yes! I do have opportunities." "Yes! I have made mistakes but I am only human that's not going to hold me back!"

I usually encounter this experience when I finish working on one of my films and I have people critique them for me. Or when I meet someone new and they say can tell I am headed the right place because of the way I carry my self. This reminds me of my abilities, it makes my faith in my ability to succeed undying. No matter what I am doing I know I will be fine. As long as I head into it with a open mind, realization I do not know everything, ability to stay vigilant regardless the obstacles I face, and crititcal analyzation skill. I have the upmost faith that these attributes will make me excel in what I am going to do with my life. Knowing that puts me into a state of love for everything around me, I'll just begin to appreciate every factor that has affected the way I am now since I was born.

  6. I honestly get excited for a great deal of things. Religious type events get me extremely excited because those are the events that make me very excited. Another example
Is when my brother or family member buys me something I really wanted. Another example is when family comes from another country to visit or when we have tickets to visit somewhere else (it's more exciting when it's out of the country). I get excited for the smallest things and pretty much everything because everything matters so might as well make the best out of every situation.

  7. There is not much to keep me excited about living or the future. Being alive really is a wonderful thing, and I truly am thankful for the life that I live. But in all honesty, it is very difficult to find something that gives me a reason to live. There are many things to do, many things I have not done yet, and many new things to experience. As much as I would like to engage in these activities, I cannot really find absolute happiness in them. Sure they will give me happiness in that moment, but that moment will soon pass. Grappling with the material world and the spiritual world is probably one of the most difficult things I have to deal with. Many times, I feel living is pointless. So I live knowing that maybe my existence will help someone in the future and lessen their pain. I live knowing that I can one day provide a refuge to someone in need.

    1. Actually, it just occurred to me that I never feel as much happiness as I do when I realize that I don't have to go to school the next day. So yeah, that is another thing that keeps me going.

  8. People who know me know that I am easily amused. I would say I get excited about a lot of things but there are deffinitely a few that I really enjoy. The thing that excites me most is baseball, now I know a lot of you guys are tired of me referencing baseball to philosophy, but I have to. Baseball excites me more than anything else in the world, and the feeling it gives me when i stand out on that feild is undesrcibable. There is no comparison between that and anything else. There are just so many things about it that just akes my mind race. Playing the game, thinking about decisions I going to have to make whether it be on the mound or in the feild. The situation always has to be taken into consideration, if there are men on base and the ball is hit toward my right, left, infornt of me, or behind me, if its hit hard, or its hit softly, all of these variables have to be taken into consideration before the ball is delivered to home plate. One of these options may not even happen, but you must react, all of these variables must be taken into consideration so that you are able to make good decisions when you the time comes. When I pitch, I have to think about what pitch to throw in a certain count, this all can be determined by knowing your strengths as a pitcher, knowing the hitters weaknesses, knowing if he can keep up with your fastball or if he can't touch your curve is all vital to success, one bad judgement call can make or break you. The outcome hangs in the balance during every play, every pitch, and every hit. The hitter vs. pitcher is a chess match, which ever pitches you can eliminate from his arsenal, the more likely you are to succeed, and vice versa. I love the mental battle that takes place during the game, whether its on the feild or in the dugout.
This is a great game, those people who are over anxious, impatient, and ignorant will not understand anything I just said, all they see is nine guys on a feild playing a "boring" game. But this is what excites me the most in my life.

  9. What gets me excited in life, are things that excite me.

Things like when my favorite author writes a new book, my mother gives me something, I get good grades on a test, I find out interesting news, my imaginary boyfriend proposes to me in the future. I'm an easily excitable person, and I tend to feed off of other people's excitement. I get excited when I do new things, or I do something fun with my friends or family, and because these things excite me generally, they end up making my life exciting, which thus forth excites me about life. It gives me something to look forward to, even when they're not planned because the most exciting things are things that you do not expect.

  10. There are several different things that excite me about life but out of the many the one that excites me most is thinking about my future and that soon I will be independent and have something to call my very own. I get excited knowing that I will begin to start my life apart from my parents and I will be able to venture out and do things for myself without having to depend on them at all times. It's an exciting feeling for me knowing that I will be starting my path in life through my own experiences. To be honest I am not a person who is big with change right away because I am so attached to my parents and I've always loved to stay within my comfort zone because it is what I know. However, the idea of one day owning my own place and being able to provide for myself gets me excited because I will be able to say that I accomplished this for myself. It would fulfill me with happiness knowing that I was capable to do such things on my own, rather than having them be passed on to me by parents. I am excited to see what lies in my future and what obstacles I will have to overcome that will make me a stronger and more responsible person.

  11. I'm the epitome of a person who really lives their lives off of the little things. I love the little minor details of every situation that occurs in my every day life. Life truly does become exciting when you realize how much you really do have or dont have. Finding new things out about yourself and having realizations about anything makes life exciting whether it be good or bad because you can build your life on it and take anything into a different direction for yourself.
Being able to say that your striving to make your life better for yourself is what makes life exciting.

  12. What brings me excitement is the amount of opportunities and possibilities life has to offer. I want to be able to have new experiences. One goal that I have in life is to travel the world and experience different cultures and taste diverse foods. One place that I would love to visit in the future is Brazil. I have seen many beautiful pictures taken from my family that lives there. However, I do not think the pictures do justice. I would rather be the person who is having the experience that that's the photos. I have seen pictures taken of my cousin when he jumped out of a plane. It seemed scary, but after speaking with him after the experience, it may possibly be an experience I might try. It is the feeling of not knowing what to expect that brings the thrill. I enjoy the thrill of taking adventures and having expectations of what is yet to come. I believe life is short and we should all partake in a new experience that brings excitement, whether it means jumping out of a plane or simply riding a rollercoaster.

  13. What gets me excited are all the possibilities that life entails. It's full of potential for pleasure and bliss, more so that can be comprehended. From the smallest seemingly insignificant things such as simply waking up in a good mood, to the more meaningful side of life, like realizing your dreams. The potential experiences that you can amass is what makes life exciting.

  14. *sighs, here we go again* What... gets... me excited in life? Well, it took me a long time to realize this but the thing that gets me excited in life is the potential/capacity it has. This is similar to what Anil and Jasmine said. These two both agreed that there are endless possibilities in life. I agree and say that life has the potential for almost everything one can imagine or could never have imagined. I am not only excited about just my potential but I am excited about the potential of others. It is captivating to think about where the people I know will be in 10 years or 20 years? Where will I be in 10 or 20 years? I even think about how our generation will be different from the generation before and after ours? These questions are very exciting to think about.

Also, when I say "potential of life", I don't mean just long term dreams or aspirations. Potential can also be unearthed in small things like having a friend who watches the same forms of media as you do or a new desk (okay, maybe not so much a new desk for everyone but it was like that for me. I am still excited about getting a desk that I can study on :D)

  15. I only get excited for a few things. I get excited when I am struck with enough inspiration to write a new song, poem, or rap. I am also excited when I am learning something new, as I always am in philosophy class. I like wisdom and knowledge and am always willing to learn more. I also get excited at the thought of success because I know that one day I will succeed, completing any goals and exceeding any expectations I have for myself.

  16. I honestly get excited for my life ahead of me and all the great possibilities that my life beholds for me. For example i can not wait until i go to college or learn to live by myself. another way i get exited of becoming successful because I know that one day I complete my expectations I have for myself.

  17. What makes life exciting for me is life in it self. I love to live. I see life as an oppertunity to learn, experiment, and have fun. Another thing that gets me excited is that i don't know what the future holds, also if i will ever exceed my dreams and goals. life is full of choices and i am curious if i will make the right ones. I believe that you only get to live once so why waste it. I really don't see a reason to not be excited about life.

  18. Playing football has always been fun for me because of the glorious feeling after winning a big game. Word's can't describe how amazing it feels to have a taste of victory. Knowing that the work I put into the game hasn't been wasted. So what excites me? Knowing that I'm the best at what I do.
